Unfortunately, it’s not possible to test drive WAVs at the event, however home demonstrations can be booked, please speak to one of the many WAV exhibitors.

How can I book a test drive?

Test drives can only be booked on the day of the event.

To book your test drive follow the steps below;

  1. Visit the test drive booking desk to find out which cars are available and to choose the car you would like to test drive
  2. Show the photocard part of your full UK driving licence to the test drive team. It’s important that you bring your driving licence with you on the day as you will not be able to test drive any vehicles without it
  3. Sign our Test Drive Declaration Form on the day (this simply says you agree to our terms and conditions, which you can find below, and that you meet the test drive eligibility criteria

That’s it... you’re ready to take your test drive!

To take a test drive, you must have a full UK driving licence and have no more than either:

  • 3 (three) penalty points, which may have been accrued for any conviction; OR
  • 6 (six) penalty points in any one, or combination, of the following conviction categories: Speeding (SP), Construction and Use Offences (CU), Pedestrian Crossing (PC) or Traffic Signs/Directions (TS)

Any penalty points/endorsements over and above those listed above mean you will be unable to complete a test drive as a driver. Any endorsements with a conviction date of more than 5 (five) years’ old will not be counted.

For anyone unable to bring their driving licence with them because it is with the DVLA for renewal, we will check licences digitally. To do this please visit the DVLA website (www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence) and generate a share code. You must give this code to the test drive booking team for your licence to be checked digitally. You will also need to provide photo ID and sign our standard test drive declaration form.
